Each week, James Dugan and Rob Grabowski sit down with a member of the Chicago Comedy Community to discuss comedy, life, and everything in between.
James Dugan was born and raised in Northern California, but moved to Chicago to pursue improv comedy and to learn what this “winter” thing is that everyone has been talking about. In his years in Chicago, he has performed with numerous Harold Teams at iO, taken to the high seas with The Second City, and was a member of TJ and Dave’s Mission Theater ensemble. Outside of Chicago he has been featured at festivals in Austin, St. Louis, New York, and Juneau, Alaska. He teaches at iO Chicago as well as The Chicago Improv Den, and coaches several teams in the Chicago area. He can currently be seen performing a weekly show with Lil’ Tooties, and in his two-person show, James Gretchky.
Rob Grabowski is a Michigan native but has called Chicago home for the past ten years. Rob has performed with many theatres in Chicago including Victory Gardens, New Colony, City Lit, and Red Tape. Within the improv community, Rob is an ensemble member and teacher at Comedy Sportz, an ensemble member of Clued In: An improvised Murder Mystery, has performed with The Second City on the high seas, and been has been part of a number of Harold teams (most recently Cecilia). He is also a former coach of the hit harold team Devil’s Daughter. You can also hear Rob on Poppin’ Bottles (a comedic podcast about your favorite beverages).
